Oscar Frantoio is an olive-growing company that has been producing oil and table olives for generations, with the same passion as Grandpa Oscar, the pioneer and founder of the company. The estate, located in one of the most fascinating and secluded areas of the Lazio hinterland, overlooks the Rocca Massima valley, 450 meters above sea level at the gates of Rome. It is one of the most authentic places in Lazio, where the Itrana olive, the essence and universal heritage of our territory, is born. In this context, the mill is establishing itself as an innovative and modern company, guardian of rural tradition. The challenge, now taken up by Oscar’s grandchildren, Sara and Daniele Del Ferraro, is to pass on a repertoire of popular and rural wisdom, through the enhancement of a native product such as the Itrana cultivar and the Gaeta olive in its commercial table form. It is not a simple project, requiring care and dedication, as well as that touch of lucid madness that often accompanies great projects.

Production Methodology
Over the years, Oscar has developed a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, stepping out of anonymity and creating a distinctive brand for its production. The company aims at a precise strategy of production qualification through the short supply chain model. It operates with an effective traceability system that ensures the application of transparent rules, aiming for a supply chain that directly conveys to Italian and global consumers the values of genuineness, safety, and territoriality, with a typically Made in Italy flavor. This procedure is guaranteed by a methodology that updates a purely traditional and ancient concept of production to our times.
Territory and environmental sustainability
The company adopts a low-impact farming system that lies between conventional and organic agriculture, using chemical means only when the risk to the crops is severe. Through such precautions, Oscar strives to preserve the quality of the environmental heritage and the uniqueness of its territory. All the cultivation techniques used are aimed at enhancing the symbol of our land, the very essence of our territory, the Itrana olive.
Tradition and Typicality
Every place in the world has its typical products and local specialties that, over time, have become its distinctive and characteristic symbols. The Itrana olive and our territory now boast two protected designations of origin: the Dop Colline Pontine for extra virgin olive oil and the Dop Gaeta Olive for table olives in brine, which guarantee their uniqueness. These “exceptional” products maintain their organoleptic characteristics intact as they mature, respecting an ancient and completely natural production methodology. This is just a part of our “family story,” a taste of rural tradition that brings the artisanal wisdom and unique flavour of the Itrana olive, the authentic essence of our beloved territory, directly to your tables.

Sara and Daniele Del Ferraro, the grandchildren, take over, with the aim of passing down a repertoire of popular and rural wisdom by enhancing a native product like the Itrana cultivar

The designation “Oliva di Gaeta” is registered in the “register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications” as a D.O.P. (Denomination of Protected Origin)

Il personale è molto gentile ed il prezzo della molatura è onestissimo. Sono anni che porto le olive da loro e durante l'anno non ho mai trovato depositi sul fondo. Consigliatissimo!
